Perfect for an appetizer or a main course, these easy-to-make sandwiches are sure to be a hit at any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Biscuits:

  • 1 (16 oz) can refrigerated flaky biscuits
  • ¾ pound deli roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

For the Au Jus Dipping Sauce:

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare biscuits: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Split each biscuit in half horizontally to create two layers. Flatten slightly and place half of the biscuit rounds on the bottom of the dish.
  2. Layer biscuits: Top with roast beef and cheese, then cover with the remaining biscuit halves. Press to seal edges.
  3. Season and bake: Brush biscuit tops with melted butter, sprinkle with parsley and garlic powder. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Prepare au jus sauce: In a saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve: Serve warm biscuits with hot au jus sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Leftover roast beef or turkey can be used.
  • Try adding caramelized onions or horseradish sauce for extra flavor.
