Instructions

- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, steamed broccoli, sautéed onion, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is evenly combined.
- Prepare Casserole: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Top with the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese.
- Add Topping: If using a cracker or breadcrumb topping, mix the crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle evenly over the top.
