For the Shrimp:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
For the Stir-Fry:
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 1/4 cup chicken broth or water
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Shrimp: Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper. Cook in a skillet until pink and opaque. Set aside.
- Stir-Fry: Cook broccoli in oil until slightly tender. Add garlic and ginger. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, broth, and red pepper. Pour sauce over broccoli, simmer, and thicken with cornstarch. Add shrimp, toss, and heat through.
- Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
- For extra flavor, toast sesame seeds before garnishing.
- You can substitute snap peas, bell peppers, or carrots for some of the broccoli for more variety.
