Description

These Buffalo Chicken Pastry Bites are a delicious and spicy appetizer perfect for game day or any party. Puff pastry filled with a flavorful mixture of shredded chicken, Buffalo wing sauce, and cheeses, baked until golden and puffed. Easy to make and sure to be a crowd favorite!

Puff Pastry:

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed

Buffalo Chicken Filling:

  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/4 cup Buffalo wing sauce
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Additional:

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions or crumbled blue cheese for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, mix the shredded chicken with Buffalo sauce, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  3. Roll out the pastry: On a lightly floured surface, unfold the puff pastry and roll it out slightly. Cut into 16 squares.
  4. Fill and fold: Place a spoonful of the Buffalo chicken mixture in the center of each square. Fold the corners into the center and pinch to seal.
  5. Bake: Place on the baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with green onions or blue cheese. Serve warm.
