Description

Delight your taste buds with these delicious Cheese Stuffed Flatbreads. Soft flatbread filled with gooey melted cheese, these are perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil (plus more for cooking)

Cheese Filling:

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Chopped parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Dough Preparation: In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add yogurt and oil, and mix until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5–6 minutes until smooth, adding a bit more flour if needed. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes.
  2. Cheese Filling: In a separate bowl, mix the mozzarella, cheddar, and garlic powder if using.
  3. Assembly: Divide the dough into 6 equal balls. Flatten each into a small circle, place 2–3 tablespoons of the cheese mixture in the center, and fold the edges over to seal. Gently flatten into a disc using your hands or a rolling pin.
  4. Cooking: Heat a skillet over medium heat and brush lightly with oil. Cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  5. Serving: Garnish with chopped herbs and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, brush the flatbreads with garlic butter after cooking.
  • You can use other cheeses like feta or paneer for variation.
