Ingredients
Scale
Meat and Cheese
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup crumbled, cooked bacon
Vegetables and Toppings
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup pickled red onions (or raw red onions)
- 1/2 cup sliced pickles
- 1/4 cup pickled jalapeno slices
- 4 cups shredded lettuce
Burger Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp pickle relish
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp relish (additional for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the Burger Sauce: In a small bowl, thoroughly mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, pickle relish, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set this sauce aside to allow the flavors to meld.
- Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, seasoning it with salt and pepper to your taste. Cook, breaking the meat apart with a spatula, until it is browned and fully cooked through, approximately 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat and remove the skillet from heat.
- Assemble the Cheeseburger Bowls: Divide the shredded lettuce evenly among serving bowls. Top each with a portion of the cooked ground beef, then add halved cherry tomatoes, pickled red onions, sliced pickles, pickled jalapeno slices, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese as desired. Drizzle the prepared burger sauce over the top and serve immediately for a satisfying meal.
Notes
- You can substitute raw red onions if you prefer less tang from pickled onions.
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of pickled jalapeno slices.
- Feel free to add other burger toppings like avocado slices or sautéed mushrooms based on your preference.
- Leftover sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a healthier option, use lean ground beef or ground turkey.
