Instructions
- Cook Ground Beef: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned and fully cooked, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Sauté Vegetables: Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pan. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Prepare Sauce: Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika if using. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened. Fold in cheddar cheese until melted.
- Toast Buns: While the mixture simmers, toast hamburger buns with butter for extra flavor and texture.
- Assemble: Spoon the cheesy ground beef mixture onto the bottom halves of the buns, top with the other halves. Serve warm.
