Ingredients

Scale

Pretzel Crust:

  • 2 cups mini pretzels, crushed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter

Caramel Layer:

  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Flaky sea salt for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Pretzel Crust: Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, brown sugar, and ½ cup of peanut butter. Press into the pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  3. Make Caramel Layer: In a saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, remaining peanut butter, and salt. Cook until smooth, then stir in vanilla. Pour over the pretzel crust.
  4. Add Chocolate: Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top and bake for 10 minutes. Spread melted chocolate over the caramel layer and top with sea salt.
  5. Cool and Serve: Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing into bars.

Notes
