Mandarin Orange and Pineapple Mixture:
- 1 can (15 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks or tidbits, drained
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
- 3/4 cup maraschino cherries, halved and patted dry
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, gently fold together the mandarin oranges, pineapple chunks, mini marshmallows, coconut, and sour cream.
- Add the whipped topping and mix until everything is evenly coated.
- Gently fold in the maraschino cherries and chopped nuts, if using.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to chill.
- Serve cold.
