Chicken:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into chunks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
Rice:
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup basmati rice, rinsed and drained
- 2¼ cups chicken broth
Cream Sauce:
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions
- Cook Chicken: In a skillet, cook chicken in olive oil until golden. Remove.
- Sauté Aromatics: Sauté onion, garlic. Add rice and cook.
- Cook Rice: Add broth, herbs, chicken. Simmer covered until rice is tender.
- Finish: Stir in cream, Parmesan. Simmer until creamy. Garnish and serve.

- You can add spinach or peas for extra veggies.
- To lighten, use half-and-half or whole milk instead of heavy cream.
