- 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails on or off)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
- salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side, or until shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and parsley. Toss to coat evenly.
- Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate shrimp in olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice for 15 minutes before cooking.
