Description

  • 2 cups cold mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 large egg, beaten

Coating:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten (for coating)
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form mixture into balls and refrigerate.
  2. Prepare Breading Station: Set up three bowls with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs. Coat each potato ball in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
  3. Fry: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry the potato balls until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Serve: Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
