Description

Garlic Butter Sausage Bites with Pasta is a delicious and easy-to-make one-pan meal that combines savory smoked sausage with garlic, butter, and Parmesan cheese for a flavorful pasta dish.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta:

  • 12 oz pasta (such as penne or rotini)

Sausage Bites:

  • 1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa (sliced into bite-sized pieces)

Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Additional:

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sliced sausage for 5 to 7 minutes until browned and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Return the sausage to the skillet, add cooked pasta, and toss together. Add reserved pasta water as needed. Stir in Parmesan cheese and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve: Serve hot, garnished with extra cheese if desired.
