Sausage Bites:
- 1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa (sliced into bite-sized pieces)
Garlic Butter Sauce:
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Additional:
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Sear the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sliced sausage for 5 to 7 minutes until browned and crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute.
- Combine Ingredients: Return the sausage to the skillet, add cooked pasta, and toss together. Add reserved pasta water as needed. Stir in Parmesan cheese and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve: Serve hot, garnished with extra cheese if desired.
