Bagel Bites:
- 6 mini plain or whole wheat bagels, halved
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 24–30 slices mini pepperoni or regular pepperoni cut into quarters
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Optional Toppings:
- Chopped bell peppers
- Black olives
- Mushrooms
- Red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the bagels: Arrange the bagel halves cut-side up on the baking sheet. Spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce on each half.
- Add toppings: Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then add mini pepperoni and any desired toppings. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
- Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bagel edges are slightly crisp.
- Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool for 2–3 minutes, and serve.
Notes
- For crispier bagels, toast them briefly before assembling.
- Bagel Bites freeze well—assemble, freeze on a tray, and store in a freezer bag. Bake from frozen at 375°F for 15–18 minutes.
