Bread:
- 4 slices of thick-cut bread (such as sourdough or Texas toast)
Cheese Mixture:
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Additional:
- 2–3 fresh jalapeños (seeded and thinly sliced)
- 4 slices cooked bacon (optional)
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise or butter (for spreading)
Instructions
- Cheese Mixture: In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Assemble Sandwiches: Spread the cheese mixture onto two slices of bread. Layer with sliced jalapeños and bacon, if desired. Top with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
- Cook: Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise or butter on the outsides of the sandwiches. Cook in a skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
