Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare dry ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until creamy. Add egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- Combine wet and dry: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, stirring just until incorporated.
- Add M&Ms: Fold in 1 cup mini M&Ms until evenly distributed.
- Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Press a few extra M&Ms on top of each cookie. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set.
- Cool: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
