  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add dry mixture to wet ingredients.
  4. Add Oats and Raisins: Fold in oats and raisins until just combined.
  5. Bake: Spread dough in the baking pan and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and set.
  6. Cool and Cut: Cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For chewier bars, slightly underbake and allow them to finish setting as they cool.
  • You can swap half the raisins with chopped walnuts or pecans for added crunch.
