Tender chicken thighs are seasoned with Tajín, garlic, and smoked paprika, then pan-fried to golden perfection. Serve with a squeeze of lime and fresh cilantro for a vibrant and delicious meal.
Ingredients
Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
Seasoning:
- 1½ tablespoons Tajín seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
Additional:
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (plus more for cooking)
- Fresh cilantro and lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken in a single layer. Cook for 5–7 minutes per side (depending on thickness), until golden, slightly crisp, and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
- Rest and Serve: Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve warm, garnished with chopped cilantro and lime wedges.
In a bowl, combine the Tajín, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Rub the chicken evenly with the lime juice and coat generously with the spice mixture. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 4 hours in the fridge for deeper flavor).
Notes
- Great served over rice, in tacos, or sliced into salads or grain bowls.
- You can substitute Tajín with a mix of chili powder, lime zest, and salt if needed.
