Pizza Layers
- 2 pre-made pizza crusts (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 cup cooked ground beef (seasoned with salt and pepper)
Topping
- Extra pepperoni slices
- Additional shredded mozzarella cheese
Garnish (Optional)
- Fresh basil or oregano
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking.
- Assemble the First Layer: Place one pizza crust on the prepared baking sheet. Spread half of the pizza sauce evenly over it, sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, then top with half of the pepperoni slices and half of the cooked seasoned ground beef.
- Add the Second Layer: Carefully place the second pizza crust on top of the first layer. Spread the remaining pizza sauce over it, sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese, and add the rest of the pepperoni slices and ground beef.
- Top and Bake: Add extra pepperoni slices and a bit more shredded mozzarella on top for a crispy, melty finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish (Optional): After baking, remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil or oregano for added flavor and aroma.
- Slice and Serve: Let the pizza layer cake cool slightly, then cut into wedges like a cake and serve hot for a fun, shareable meal.
Notes
- Use your favorite pizza sauce or homemade for best flavor.
- Cook the ground beef ahead of time and season well with salt and pepper.
- You can add other toppings such as sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers if desired.
- Letting the pizza rest for a few minutes after baking helps the layers set and makes slicing easier.
- Fresh herbs like basil or oregano are optional but add a lovely freshness to the finished dish.
