- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix the Potato Cheese Mixture: In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Shape and Freeze: Form the mixture into stick-like logs, freeze for 20–30 minutes on a baking sheet.
- Prepare the Breading Station: Set up three bowls with flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.
- Coat the Sticks: Dip each stick in flour, then egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Fry the Sticks: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry sticks in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve: Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- You can customize these sticks with herbs, bacon bits, or chili flakes for extra flavor.
- They freeze well before frying, just extend the frying time if cooking from frozen.
