Pasta:

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta

Seafood:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 salmon fillets (skin removed, cut into chunks)
  • ½ pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)

Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Extra Parmesan for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Prepare pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
  2. Sear the Salmon: In a skillet, sear seasoned salmon chunks until golden. Remove from the pan.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: Cook shrimp until pink and opaque. Set aside with the salmon.
  4. Make the Sauce: Sauté garlic, then add cream and broth. Simmer, then add cheese, lemon, spices. Return seafood and pasta to the pan.
  5. Serve: Garnish with parsley and Parmesan. Serve hot.
