  • 14 oz block firm tofu (pressed and cut into 1-inch cubes)

Seasoning:

  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper

Additional:

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 green onions (sliced)
  • 1 small red chili or ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Tofu: Press tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into cubes.
  2. Coat Tofu: Mix cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and white pepper in a bowl. Coat tofu cubes evenly.
  3. Cook Tofu: Sear tofu in oil until golden and crispy. Set aside.
  4. Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, sauté garlic, green onions, and chili. Add tofu back and toss.
  5. Finalize: Cook briefly, adjust seasoning, and serve hot as desired.
