Cheesecake Filling:
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Apple Filling:
- 1 1/2 cups apple pie filling (chopped if needed)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Other:
- 1 package (14 ounces) refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
- 1 large egg (for egg wash)
- vegetable oil for frying
- Optional toppings: powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Cheesecake Filling: In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Apple Filling: In another bowl, stir the apple pie filling with cinnamon.
- Assembly: Unroll the pie crusts and use a 4-inch round cutter to cut out circles. Place 1 teaspoon of the cheesecake filling and 1 teaspoon of apple filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold over to form a half-moon shape and press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
- Frying: Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat to 350°F (175°C). Fry the pies in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
- Serving: Dust warm pies with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar if desired. Serve warm.
