Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Dough and Filling
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce plus extra for dipping
Seasoning and Topping
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
- Roll Out Dough. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle approximately 1/4 inch thick to create an even base for the rolls.
- Cut Dough Squares. Cut the rolled dough into small squares about 3 inches wide, which will form individual pizza rolls.
- Add Filling. Place a small spoonful of pizza sauce in the center of each square, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese and a few mini pepperoni slices for a classic pizza flavor.
- Seal the Rolls. Fold the corners of each dough square over the filling, pinching tightly to seal completely and form small rolls that will hold the filling inside while baking.
- Arrange and Season. Place each stuffed roll seam side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle evenly with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and grated Parmesan cheese to add flavor and crispness.
- Bake. Bake the rolls for 15 to 18 minutes, until they turn golden brown and are cooked through, ensuring a deliciously crispy exterior and melted interior.
- Serve. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping, making these rolls a perfect appetizer or snack.
Notes
- You can customize the filling by adding cooked sausage, vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms, or different kinds of cheese to suit your taste.
- Make sure to seal the edges tightly to prevent the filling from leaking out during baking.
- Feel free to add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes on top for a spicy kick.
- These rolls can be made ahead and reheated in the oven for a quick snack.
