Saltine Toffee:

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)

- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans, almonds, or walnuts – optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prep: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the sheet.
- Making the Toffee: In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat until boiling. Boil for 3 minutes without stirring. Pour the caramel over the crackers, then bake for 5 minutes.
- Adding Chocolate and Toppings: Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot caramel. Let sit for 2 minutes, then spread melted chocolate evenly. Top with sprinkles and nuts if desired.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set. Break into pieces and enjoy!
