  • 1 sleeve (about 40) saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)

Toppings:

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans, almonds, or walnuts – optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the sheet.
  2. Making the Toffee: In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat until boiling. Boil for 3 minutes without stirring. Pour the caramel over the crackers, then bake for 5 minutes.
